Ausgewickelte Caco Dame - Caco lady unwrapped

60er Jahre Caco Dame, deren Stoffumwicklung sich gelöst hatte. Jetzt kann man also einen Blick hinein werfen: Ein fester Draht endet in den Metallschuhen, darüber eine Schaumstoffwicklung und zuletzt wird der hautfarbene Stoffstreifen darüber gewickelt. Er ist doppelt gelegt, denn es gibt kein loses Ende.

Diese Puppe bekam ich fast geschenkt, wer will schon eine kaputte Caco? Aber mir gefiel der Rock, auch wenn ich glaube, sie trug ursprünglich noch eine Jacke oder einen Mantel über den kurzärmeligen Pullover, da der Armabschluss nicht sorgfältig verarbeitet ist. Untypisch für Caco.

Nach der Reparatur kann man den Fehler kaum noch erkennen, finde ich.

Caco lady of the 60s with loose cloth wrapping. Now it is possible to catch a glimpse of the inside: a solid wire is attached to the metal shoes, then a thin foam wrapping and at last the double cloth strip. It is like a loop there is no loose end of the strip.

This doll I got nearly for nothing - who wants such a damaged doll? But I liked the skirt although I guess that she is missing some kind of coat because the sleeves are not of the usual good quality.

After repair the operation is not visible I think.

Hier sieht man sie mit einer etwas älteren Puppe. Hat die Mode sich von weitem Rock zu engem Rock entwickelt? Das könnte sein, obwohl genau wie heute manchmal mehrere Stile gleichzeitig in Mode waren.

Aber unsere reparierte Puppe ist etwas kleiner als die ältere, ihre Füße/Schuhe sind etwas breiter geworden und auch die Beine sind etwas fülliger gewickelt, insgesamt ist das Modell nun nicht mehr so schmal.

Here she is with a slightly older doll. Did the fashion change from tight to wide skirt? Maybe but perhaps there just were different skirt styles at one time just like today.

But my mended doll is a little bit smaller, her legs are thicker just as her metal feet/shoes. The designer decided that the modern woman was not so thin any more.
