Zuerst waren da zwei Holzkinderbetten mit Fieberkurven am Kopfende, eine für Robert und eine für Christine. Ein Jahr verging und dann kamen noch zwei Krankenhausbetten dazu, wieder für Robert und Christine. Oh, dachte ich, das wird irgendwann mal ein Krankenhauszimmer, pass gut auf, die passenden Möbel oder eine entsprechende Stube muss doch auch mal irgendwo zu sehen sein. Wieder verging viel Zeit, eine Caco Krankenschwester, ein Caco Arzt und ab und zu ein Caco Kind im Schlafanzug gesellten sich in die Krankenhaus-Kiste, aber Möbel und Stube nicht.
Also war Kreativität gefragt, das heißt für mich, 60er Jahre Teile zu finden, die sich als Krankenhaus und entsprechende Einrichtung zweckentfremden lassen - immer in der Hoffnung, dass irgendwann mal ein Foto auftaucht, dass die Herkunft meiner vier Krankenbetten zeigt.
At first there were two interesting old beds for a hospital room with fever charts at their heads, one for "Robert" and the other one for "Christine". A year passed and there were another two similar beds, again for Robert and Christine. Oh, I thought, just a little bit patience and eventually more furniture and perhaps a room box for a hospital out of the 60s will be seen somewhere - but nothing happend for a very long time. In the meantime a Caco nurse for the sick kids arrived, a Caco doctor and from time to time a Caco kid in pyjamas got in the cardbox with the hospital beds.
Lately I could not wait any longer and decided to find a room and some furniture from this time period, 60s, and to create a hospital room for the sick kids - never giving up hope of seeing a picture or an offer at ebay of the complete original surrounding of those hospital beds.
Ein Küchengehäuse aus den 60ern erfüllte die Voraussetzungen und wurde von mir mit ganz verschiedenen Einzelteilen gefüllt. Ich gestehe, ich habe auch ein bisschen geschummelt, um eine Krankenhausatmosphäre zu schaffen: der Medizinschrank besteht aus zwei alten Mini-Plastikschränken, Werbebeigaben aus den 50ern oder Wundertüteninhalte aus den 60ern, ich habe nur das rote Kreuz draufgeklebt...
A kitchen room of the 60s filled with all kind of older furniture. I confess, I cheated a little bit to create a hospital atmosphere: the medicine cabinet is composed of two old mini kitchen plastic cupboards, giveaways of the 50s or small toys of the 60s, I just stuck the red cross on it...
Ein Krankenhaus ist die perfekte Gelegenheit, ein paar kaputte Puppen unterzubringen - einfach einen Verband um den fehlenden Fuß oder die fehlende Hand und schon sieht die Kinderstation noch authentischer aus. Ich habe alle Kisten durchwühlt... wo sind die kaputten Puppen, wenn man sie braucht?
A hospital offers the perfect opportunity to make use of damaged dolls - just a bandage on the missing hand or foot and the hospital looks much more authentic. I looked in all my boxes... where are the damaged dolls when they are needed?
