Diese feststehende Gruppe von Puppen war wohl als Ziergegenstand in den 50ern gedacht - es war ja bezeichnend für das Fernweh dieser Zeit, dass auch Souveniere von Orten aufgehängt oder hingestellt wurden, an denen man nie gewesen war, Exotik war halt modern, nicht nur Italien, sondern auch Hawaii, Karibik oder Afrika.

This fixed group of dolls from the 50s was probably meant as a piece for decoration. It is an example for the love of the exotic at that period, collecting and displaying souveniers of places people often had never been to. Countries like Italy, Hawaii, the Caribbean or Africa were the most popular ones.

Sie passen auch von ihrer Größe her gut in eine Puppenstube aus dieser Zeit, ich habe sie in meine "Crailsheimer Bar" integriert.

Hier singen sie vor einer Gruppe 50er Edi-Zelluloidpüppchen, wohl eine kleine fröhliche  Hochzeitsgesellschaft.

 

By size they also fit well into a 50s dolls house - I let them sing in my "Crailsheimer Bar" and here they perform for a small cheerful wedding party of edi celluloid dolls.

Wie soll man ein Badezimmer dekorieren? In einem meiner letzten Posts habe ich dasselbe Bad in verschiedenen Sammlungen gezeigt. Manchmal wird es reichlich mit Zubehör bestückt, manchmal läßt man es lieber leer, damit man die schöne Linie erkennen kann.

Es fehlt das sehr typische Brautpaar von Edi aus Zelluloid.

The very typical bridal couple from Edi made from celluloid is missing but this very good photo from the Toy Museum Nuremberg is on the web.
