Puppenstube Wohnzimmer - 1972 Modella - Doll's Living Room

Wie in allen Modella Puppenzimmern wirken die Möbel am besten im bedruckten Karton, viele Schränke und Zubehör, Bilder, Teppiche und Fenster sind einfach nur aufgemalt.

Like all Modella furniture it looks best in the printed cardboard box. Many cupboards, shelves with content, the window with drapes, accessories like pictures and carpets are only drawn on the box.

Der Schreibtisch links ist aufklappbar. Wie immer gibt es zur Unterhaltung Radio, Tonband und Schallplattenspieler. Aber keinen Fernseher.

The fold-out desk is on the left. Like always there are a radio, a magnetic tape and a record player for entertainment. No TV though.

Und wie immer ist der Tisch schon gedeckt.

Die Möbel aus dieser Stube wurden wohl nie entfernt, der kleine Schraubschlüssel, den man dafür braucht, ist noch hinter dem Sessel zu sehen.

The furniture of this room box was apparently never removed. The little screwdriver which you need for that is still fixed on the wall behind the armchair.

Aus einem Möbelkatalog dieser Zeit: weiß und braun als Grundfarben, Einbauschränke, die Gardinen und der Teppich in geometrischen Mustern, selbst die Accessoires in den Schränken stimmen.

Das Wohnzimmer gehört zur obigen Wohnungsausstattung. Ich habe schon alle anderen Zimmer vorgestellt, jetzt ist das Puppenhaus von 1972 komplett.
The livingroom is part of Modella's doll furniture program as seen above. I already presented all the other rooms - my dolls house of 1972 is finally complete.

Modella übernahm in dieser Puppenhauseinrichtung viele Designelemente von damals sehr modernen Möbeln, von denen einige heute zu Klassikern geworden sind. Im Wohnzimmer ist das Design der Sessel auffallend. Es erinnert an den Sesselklassiker von Dieter Rams, der auch für seine Montagemöbel und Schrankwandsysteme berühmt wurde. Er entwarf auch den berühmten "Schneewittchensarg" für die Firma Braun, eine klassische Radio-Schallplattenspieler-Kombination von 1956.
Modella copied many design features in this doll furniture program of popular furniture in the 60s. Some of them became classics. One example from this livingroom: the armchair resembles a creation of Dieter Rams, a German designer who worked for Braun and Visoe. The sofa and chair were parts of a variable and flexible furniture system. He became also famous by the "Schneewittchensarg" (Cinderella's Coffin), a radio-phono combination of 1956.
